Indications

- spontaneous pneumothorax in which the pleural detachment is the first indication for mounting a pleural drain to suck the air contained between the 2 pleural sheets;

- external - burglary with a bladed weapon or other blunt object;

- accidental puncture of the pleural sac during the catheterization of the subclavicular vein;

- internal: - cancerous tumor of the lung or pleura;

 - pulmonary fibrosis, which causes a pleuro-pulmonary fistula;

 - pulmonary tuberculosis.

Contraindications

- coagulation disorders.
