RE-ASSESSMENT OF THE VICTIM

Ø  Basic resuscitation will be interrupted for reassessment if the following signs of life appear:

Ø cough;

Ø spontaneous movements;

Ø vomiting;

Ø spontaneous opening of the eyes.

RESUSCITATION ONLY THROUGH CHEST COMPRESSIONS

Ø  When the rescuer does not want or is unable to administer mouth-to-mouth ventilations.

Ø  The compressions will be applied without interruption with a frequency of approximately 100/minute.

WITHDRAW RESUSCITATION IN THE FOLLOWING SITUATIONS

Ø  Qualified help arrives and takes over the resuscitation maneuvers.

Ø  After re-evaluation, you found that the victim is breathing normally.

Ø  The savior gets exhausted.
