PREPARATION FOR ENDOTRACHEAL INTUBATION

• Vacuum cleaner ready and functional
• Yankauer rigid probe
• Flexible suction probe
•  An intubation cannula of suitable size for the patient will be chosen
• Two more cannulas will be prepared, one smaller and one larger than the one chosen for intubation
• Chuck and syringe
• Checking the equipment
• The bulb of the laryngoscope, the balloon system of the intubation cannula
• Ventilation balloon with mask - linked to oxygen
• Necessary medication – prepared in labeled syringes
• Stethoscope
